With another month left of hurricane season, I review important action steps for small business owners— especially those in high risk areas (and not just hurricanes, tornadoes as well).

As of October 2024, over $1 billion in damages has been left in the wake of these catastrophic weather events. A report from CBS News earlier this month estimated that Hurricane Helene is likely to be the most costly hurricane since Katrina in 2005.
